Leaders, ME Staff Attend Seminar-Workshop

On the 27th-29th day of July 2012, selected students underwent leadership seminar-workshop at the school compound. These include the Homeroom, Pathfinder, Student Association, Mountain Echo Club and the Ministry Club officers.

The said event was made to instill their duties and obligations, how to discipline themselves and to enhance their abilities, and be suitable or capable to their designated offices.

In the workshop, each student leader was assigned in a room depending on his/her job. The first year room is for the philanthropic/fund raising, second year room – record keeping for secretaries, library room - program organization and implementation, science laboratory - money transaction for treasurers, computer laboratory - news reporters for PIO and other ME staff, and multi-purpose hall - art of presiding over meetings and program preparation.

During the workshop each student must have an output to be presented to the group after. The group with their respective resource speaker/trainer will then critic and suggest things to improve their works.

According to Jemuel, the seminar workshop was fun and knowledge giver. They had learned many things on how to handle their tasks according to their respective offices. Some of them added that the things they had learned were applicable to one’s life. One of which is to be independent which is one of the barebones of leading a group. And lastly, the fourth years added that leaders should be humble and true for them to be successful in leading.

Aside from the seminar-workshop, the leaders also bonded together and challenged one another in their social games that Saturday night.

It was delightful, challenging and all throughout fun, all of them concluded as most of them try to lengthen their stay that next day on their designated resting places before going home.
